Home Made Bubble Tea

Maddiesbubbleawesomeness

On Dads birthday weekend me and the kids happened to come by some bubble tea bubbles. When I saw them I was very excited I wanted to buy them badly… so I looked at the price tag (thinking it would be expensive) but it was 8 yuan (about $1). I immediately put them in the stack of things we were buying. On our return home me and Michael decided to experiment on these bubbles we knew we had to boil them so we set some water up to boil. after we put the bubbles in we put a ton of sugar in with it (maybe a little too much). We let them boil for about 30 minutes and then let them soak, meanwhile we were picking out the perfect tea for it. AH we found it, the best tea, Jasmine. We boiled up the tea added some bubbles and it tasted delicious!

** special thanks to Michael for the picture editing 🙂

Who would eat that?!

Sometimes in China you walk into a store look around and see that one item that makes you think to yourself “who in the world would eat that?” Well at least I’m sure that I am never going to eat something like Spicy Duck Necks……

Time to Read

Dsc_0006

Recently Me and Megan have enjoyed sitting on the coach and reading books. Megan goes to the Library and checks out her favorite books every Friday and almost every night before bed I read her a story.

MUN Conference

Last week me the kids and mom went to an MUN conference. Although I didn't actually participate I did tag along and skip a few days of school. Along with skipping some school my friend also came along with her mom and brother. I had a lot of fun watching these debates and playing with my friend. I got to learn a lot about MUN and what it's all about.

Our Little Hide-Out

Today Rachel made a discovery of a little hide out under our foot stool. This Hide out is opened up by a very small entry but just big enough to squeeze through. Well today after dinner Rachel found this and managed to get in while asking me to join her. I tried to fit us both but I knew it would end in disaster 🙂 So half way through I decided to give up and let Megan have a try. Although I did get out with a bruised bone or two it gave me a chance to laugh 😀

Time to Watch

During our Chinese Holiday trip Rachel decided to bring her laptop with a bunch of movies on it. One of these movies were Christy. This is actually a Movie with episodes and is based on older times where telephones and automobiles were being invented. It’s about a young school teacher that went to a small communityin the mountains to teach. While she (Christy) is there she faces many adventures in this fun series. The girls and I began these episodes just as we started our vacation. It was a very fun movie to watch together and we could use it when we got bored like on the plane.I really loved getting to spend time with the girls and watch a very fun movie at the same time. (I highly recommend this movie for girls 🙂

House Park

On our family vacation to Malaysia we went to a museum type park. this park was full of small houses that were from different parts of Malaysia. I very much enjoyed going through the houses examining the items placed in the cottages/houses and looking at the architecture of the living spaces. I got to go see many cool things that interested me so much. I'm extremely glad I got to go to this interesting and fun park to learn about Malaysia's past artifacts and history.

Science Fair

Dsc_0086

This week I had my 7th grade Science Fair. All the students were required to do this activity. I did my Science Fair about tongue sores and carbonation. I basically tested that if you have a sore tongue can carbonation take away the soreness or not. Although this experiment didn't work I still had fun learning about these subjects.

Hot Pot!

Today after church our family went to Hot Pot. First of all I need to explain to you that Hot Pot is a restaurant. At this interesting  activity/restaurant you are given a small individual pot with broth in it. After this you order vegetables, meat, and noodles to cook in your pot. The meat is given to you raw and in thin slices. The noodles are also uncooked. Then you just add whatever you want into the broth to cook. After it is fully cooked to your liking you are able to go to a sauce table where you can get as many kinds and bowls as you like to dip your delicious food in. This is a fun and scrumptious way to spend time with your family and eat great food!

~ sorry we didn't take pictures….. next time we go I will be sure to add them.

Scrap booking!

The girls and I have recently been working on a scrap book together. It has been a great way to spend time with each other and I enjoy it so much. Although we are only on the second page I'm sure we'll be able to finish the job to perfection.
