At the beginning of our summer break my grandparents and cousin got to visit us here in China! We got to show them all of our life and what we do. I had a ton of fun getting to show how I use my time at school and on the weekends. I also had fun getting to just have time with them playing cards and board games, eating dinner together, and just talking. This visit diffidently brightened my summer, I'm so glad I got to have the time I did with them!

House Soccer
Every Year Middle School is divided into groups (houses) and we do a soccer competition. I really enjoy soccer so this a fun way to interact with my group (house 2)! The results have not come out yet but I hope house 2 can conquer! Go House 2!
Girls Party!
This Friday I was invited to an Easter party! The party was at one of my former teachers house. When we first arrived all of us decided to make some cookies… so we got out all the ingredients and started to put them together. We made a big mess but with some help we got it all figured out. After the dough was ready we started to make shapes out of the dough and then we popped them in the oven. They might not have turned out to be the most delicious cookies but it was a ton of fun. After we finished with the cookies we got to dye eggs and then we went outside to hide/find them. I had a great time getting to spend time with my class mates cooking and celebrating Easter together!

Service Day
Every year our school does a service trip, this year 3rd graders came to this school to learn english and to play (crafts, outdoor games).I was so glad I was able to serve others on this day! After everyone arrived we got to preform our choir songs we are going to do for our concert. Then we were able to get in small groups to play a bean bag game and to read a story. After this we ate lunch together and then played some outdoor games. I was sad to see them depart after all the fun was done but I did benefit a lot by helping these 3rd graders!

Birthday!
This year on my Birthday I turned 13 years old. My Birthday was on Spring Vacation so I got to spend the whole day off of school. I woke up to the "Happy Birthday Song" and as I walked out of my room I saw the most amazing decorations. The theme was a Slumber party Birthday and there was a beautifully made bed in the family room! I got to eat pancakes for breakfast and I had a indoor picnic on beds for lunch! I couldn't have asked for a better birthday than this one!
Water Balloon Fund-raiser
The last two weeks The Middle school has done a fund-raiser for Japan. To raise money people had to put money in a box then you could put their name in a bowl for every 10 yuan donated. There were several boxes and all of them had teachers faces on them. Whichever 3 boxes had the most money in it got water balloons thrown at the teachers. To determine who could throw the water balloons was that they picked random names out of the bowl of names. It was a really fun way to raise money for Japan. I especially enjoyed watching the teachers getting wet!
“Who would eat that?!”
Sometimes in China you walk into a store look around and see that one item that makes you think to yourself "who in the world would eat that?" Well at least I'm sure that I am never going to at something like Spicy Duck Necks……
Movie Time
The girls and I always like to snuggle up and watch a movie on the weekends. One thing we'll always need to make sure we have is a snack sometimes it's tea, sometimes candy, and sometimes popcorn. But whatever it is we always enjoy it! This time our category landed on popcorn and a coke yummm. But to make sure this was a winner night we had to pick the perfect movie and we did. We picked out the best movie, an old classic, 7 Brides for 7 Brothers. We enjoyed our time so much!
