First of all I want to apologize for not blogging as much as I should be. Well This Saturday our soccer team had a soccer exchange in Beijing. We played against four different Beijing international schools, we tied 2 games and won 2 games. The tournament turned out much better then I thought it would (I thought we were gonna lose). I had so much fun playing soccer and hanging out with my friends between games. After I got home I was so tired, I went straight to bed. That’s what I call a great way to start the soccer season!

America
America…… Where can I begin? Wow America is so different from China. I was just thinking about everything I used to take for granted! I have been having so much fun visiting and catching up with all of my dear friends and family. I have enjoyed every bit of visiting America! I hope that I will have as much fun as I am having now throughout the trip. I think it will be really hard to leave, but I’m sure when I get back to China I will still love all of it’s many blessings
I can’t believe how much I missed cereal!

We got to tour the Capital with Whitney Stockett.

Megans Little Friend
One night when mom and dad had a meeting I needed to babysit Megan, our friends needed a babysitter too so we had Megan’s friend over. Megan’s friend, Grace picked the movie “Tinker Bell” to watch. After we watched I decided to get out the dress-up stuff(since Megan has two matching fairies outfits). They both had fun pretending to make winter into spring and jumping around the house. I also had fun taking pictures and watching them have fun together.
“During the movie they decided to have a snack break and eat brownies!
They also did a puzzle together.

Doze Off My Dear Baby
Recently Megan has decided to take unexpected naps whenever she feels like it! A few days ago when I was playing Wii she wanted to snuggle up and watch me play. I went out of the room to take a break, then I forgot she was in there. I came back about 30 minutes later and she was fast asleep. She always makes me laugh when she falls asleep so quickly without anyone noticing!
New Friends
During the Spring Trips I was able to become new and closer friends to many of the Asian girls in my grade ( instead of hanging out with the American girls I decided to try a new group of girls). I was able to room with them and sit with them on lots of our bus rides. getting to know these girls is a really fun experience for me. I got to learn about their culture and hobbies. getting to know new friends allowed me to have lots of fun learning and just hanging out!
Waiting to leave a hotel.
On bumper boats.
At our last destination, a beuatiful park.
Spring Trip Aquarium
On my Spring Trip I went to an aquarium. I got to see many different kinds of animals, it was very neat! During the time at the aquarium I could walk my with friends. I also went to a dolphin show. That was also very cool! I was able to hang out with many people I didn’t normally get to and got to know them more. Outside the aquarium was a park with statues and rides. I enjoyed getting to spend time out in the sun with friends. This was an amazing experience to get to see all the animals and their habitats.
Ms. Futoran we miss you!
For a part of my school year I had a student teacher for English and History. Her name was Ms. Futoran. As I got to know her she became one of my favorite teachers! We had so much fun together! One thing we did together was that she was our leader for my science field trip! I enjoyed being with her a lot! I think she will accomplish a lot in her life!
Evening walk to buy street food
Mom and I were out for a walk and decided to pick up street food for dinner. There are local vendors just outside our apartment gate that come each evening, set up their food stand, and sell their items. Some sell bing (a local flat bread, sort of like a fat, thick, flour tortilla). Others sell yang ruo chaur (grilled lamb or chicken on a kabob) along with other vegetable kabobs. We like the cabbage, zucchini, eggplant and mushroom kabobs.
To order your food you walk up to the counter, which is a table attached to a three-wheeled bike. The seller hands you a tin platter, lined with a plastic bag so the platter doesn’t get dirty. Next, you pick the kabobs you want and place them on the platter.

] Then hand your platter to the seller. He places the kabobs on a small grill shaped in a trough, which is burning charcoal. He grills the food, basting it with a cumin-based sauce.

When the kabobs are ready, he places them in a clear plastic bag, and hands them to you. Some choose to eat right near the food stand, sitting on stools very low to the ground. We just prefer to take ours home and eat with rice.

She was so cute, waking up and looking at us. We watched her get out of the truck and snuggle up in her dad’s lap (she was probably about the same age as Megan).

For our Middle School Drama we decided to do School House Rock! It was a great experience for me to do this activity. we did many fun songs together and all my best friends were in this play. I certainly will never forget this fun time of my life! I will treasure it forever!
