I’m Lovin’… Sunglasses

Sunglasses add a whole new aspect to an outfit that are not only useful but can be totally stylish if you wear them right. Unfortunately, last week on my Spring Trip I didn’t have any sunglasses (pictures of my adventures coming soon!) and I will admit it did get a little sunny at times. So with the summer season around the corner, shopping for some new sunglasses isn’t a bad idea. Although sometimes they can get pricey, sunglasses can be your best friend! Personally, I adore the Red Apple Sunglasses from Mod Cloth (#4) because they are so creative – and to tell you the truth I am not one for small lensed sunglasses – so these are perfect for me! Hope you’re summer is starting off fabulously with beautiful a pair of sunglasses!

Megan’s Accomplishment

Look what Megan has learned to do while big sisters and daddy are away! Thanks to my sweet friend, Tami, for helping to encourage Megan to take off the training wheels. (I think there was some peer pressure involved too, since Naomi — a year younger than Megan — had learned to ride the day before).

Proud Mommy, (see Naomi in the background, ready to ride)

Rachel’s Senior Class

Rachel and Sean are away on our school’s annual spring trip. Here’s a photo I took of them just before getting on the bus.

Megan’s Special Brunch

Img_0427

Megan is getting some special time with me this week since all the girls and Sean are away. This morning she asked, “Can we have a brunch?” So I made a special egg for her with toast and a fancy lemon water.

Congratulations! Jessie!

Jessie made a run for Student Council Secretary in this year’s student elections. She gave a great speech and won! I am very proud of her sweet heart to serve her fellow classmates in high school.

Megan and Friends

Friday night our school hosted a pizza and movie night for the younger children. With most secondary students away for their annual spring trips throughout China, this was a good opportunity for me to spend some time with Megan and her little friends. Two of my Chinese coworkers from school also brought their children to enjoy the fun. We ended the evening playing on the school playground until dark, then made our way into our offices for some rest. Here’s Megan with two friends:

Notice the background of this pictures is my desk at school. If you look closely you can see one of Jessie’s campaign posters for Student Council Secretary.

Best Friends

Maddie happened to be in coming in from PE class when she saw Jessie’s 10th grade class about board the bus to leave for spring trip.  She ran over to give Jessie a big hug. They are sure going to miss one another this coming week.

iphone Pictures/Spring Trips!

Here are some pictures of what’s been happening lately.

Each spring our school provides a class trip to different parts of China, on these trip we sight see, experience Chinese culture, and eat a ton of Chinese traditional foods. The time has come once again for each class to head out on their Spring Trip. So, to make sure I am fully prepared, I went shopping today for some of my favorite snacks to bring along – as a back up, if you know what I mean!  Snacks are a definite must when going on spring trip – to quote myself, “a trip is not a trip without food”. I am so excited to have the oppertunity to visit NanJing, a city in China regarded as one of the most famous cities in China because of it’s extensive history.  This ancient city was actually the Northern capital of China and later was attacked by the Japanese in WWII. I’m anxious to discover the adventures NanJing holds for me. Wish me luck on my travels!

Maddie + Friends + Loot = An Awesome Spring Trip

Maddie and her friends have this annual tradition to buy all kinds of snack to take along on their spring trip. Maddie is also famous for making “no-bake” cookies for her class. Here’s a glimpse of the gang after stocking up at E-Mart. In the end she had one side of her suitcase with clothes and one side packed with food!
