I was thinking about what my dream house might look like after reading many posts from Smile and Wave and her moving experiences over the past few weeks. So I decided to go searching for some houses that would be…well dreamy. I found an interesting interior design and architecture web-site called Fresh Home, perfect for home styling inspiration. Last year during my final exams (right before Christmas) I won a giveaway from the blog and wedding company 100 Layer Cake. I cannot tell you how excited I was when I received Jillian’s email that read, “Hi Rachel, I’m beyond thrilled to announce you’re the winner of our holiday giveaway!” It happened on the last day of finals and after a long week of study, I was thrilled. Anyway, because I am presently living here in Tianjin, I had all of the gifts sent to my grandparents house in Texas, who would then send it to me… AND ITS FINALLY HERE! I opened the package at around 11:00 pm last night and then snapped some photos this morning.
Rachel and Jessie participated in their spring MUN Conference in QingDao, China in early March. Jessie was given a position in the Security Council where she represented the USA – one of the P5 Nations with veto-wielding power. She had a very successful conference, getting lots of opportunity for public speaking and debate. Rachel, as a delegate of Iran, in the General Assembly was the main submitter of a resolution pertaining to counter terrorism and human rights, which passed in her committee! At the closing ceremonies of the conference, I was so proud to see that both Rachel and Jessie were named Best Delegates in their respective committees, along with another one of their classmates.
I seem to always hear about Mod Cloth while reading other blogs but I never have taken the time to look around on their web cite till today and I figured out that I am totally loving Mod Cloth! The clothes are too cute and their decor is creative! I decided to pick out just a few Items that I thought were gorgeous to share with y’all today… I love the pink and turquoise mix of everything, those colors seem to match well together :]
